This is the process where we create a biography of your keepsake, your heirloom, your souvenir, your object.

How You Contribute:

You select the item to profile – it can be a humble or a grand object.

Take a picture or two and email it.

Once received, I will contact you to discuss the scope of the biography and, most important, conduct a brief interview to discover why this object is meaningful to you.

At this point, your work is done.

What I Will Do

I will explore all aspects of your object – it’s intrinsic history (it’s DNA if you will), where and how it was made, which materials were used in crafting it and so on.

Then, through meticulous historical research, material analysis, and ancestral context, I transform an ordinary object into a beautifully written, literary biography — preserving its place in your family legacy forever.
